Proverbs 2:7-8 (NLT)
“He grants a treasure of good sense to the godly. He is their shield, protecting those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of justice and protects those who are faithful to him.”

The Treasure of Good Sense

The Lord protects those who live by His wisdom and strive to live morally upright. To live by His wisdom is to operate under His complete direction and instruction. It is to trust Him with the “how,” the “when,” and the “who.” As David declared in Psalm 23, “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. “This means that in Him, you have everything you NEED.
When you persist in integrity, God grants you a “treasure of good sense.” This “good sense” acts as a spiritual GPS, guiding your steps while His shield guards your path. Faithfulness to justice doesn’t just keep you right; it keeps you safe. Remember: Whatever the Lord leads you to, He is legally obligated by His Word to lead you through.

The Practice:

Pastoral Positioning

1. Make it Personal
The Lord isn’t just a Shepherd; He must be YOUR Shepherd. Determine right now that Jesus Christ, Yahusha HaMachiach, is your personal guide. When the Shepherd is your Lord, your “wants” become secondary to His “will,” and your needs are guaranteed.
2. The Divine Pruning
Prepare to let God remove what you don’t need. This includes people, “stuff,” and even opportunities that look good but aren’t God. Releasing them requires a deep, wholehearted trust that the Shepherd knows where the green pastures are better than the sheep do. If He takes it away, it’s because it was a weight, not a wing.
3. The Earthly Under-Shepherd
Let your Pastor—your God-assigned earthly shepherd—into every part of your life where you want to see success. Don’t settle for a “good Christian friend” or a random motivational video when you have a specific agent assigned for your godly living. Allow them to speak into your business, your family, and your focus. It’s time to stop wandering and start following.
4. The Provision Declaration
Recite this aloud to anchor your faith in His supply:
“I shall be supplied with whatever I need;
If I don’t have everything I desire,
I may conclude:
It is not fit for me, it is not good for me,
Or I shall have it in my due season!”

Today’s Declaration:

“I am walking in the ‘treasure of good sense’ today! I refuse to rely on my own understanding or cling to things the Shepherd is trying to remove. I am opening my life to pastoral guidance, aligning my heart with integrity, and trusting that my shield is secure. I have everything I need, and I am moving forward in my purpose!”

Your protection is in your path—stay in alignment! Today is a great day to make a Fresh Start!
God bless,
+Pastor Kris
