Proverbs 28:8 (NLT)
“A person who makes money by charging interest will lose it. It will end up in the hands of someone who is kind to the poor.”
The Law of Divine Confiscation
God possesses a holy rage for those who take predatory advantage of others or make financial gains at the expense of another human being’s demise. This Proverb explicitly targets the excessive charging of interest and the pursuit of illegal profits. Let the systems of this world take note: anyone who builds an empire or multiplies their wealth on the backs of the broken will inevitably watch that empire collapse.
You cannot outsmart the accounting of the Kingdom. The Lord declares that wealth gained through exploitation and unfair dealings is automatically marked for divine confiscation. The oppressor is merely acting as an involuntary courier—gathering, storing, and holding capital until God reallocates it into the hands of those who are generous, fair, and kind to the poor. The hustle of greed is a temporary illusion; the economy of righteousness is an permanent reality.
The Practice:
Positioning for the Redistribution
1. Trust the Season of Vindication
Rest in the absolute certainty that justice will eventually overtake injustice. When you see predatory systems and corrupt individuals flourishing, do not lose your footing or your focus. Galatians 6:9 (ESV) commands us: *“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Be patient and remain at perfect peace; the scales of heaven are moving, and your season of vindication is fast approaching.
2. Guard Your Heart Against Malice
Take strict care never to find pleasure or secret satisfaction in another person’s downfall, suffering, or sudden financial ruin—even if they are your enemy. The moment you celebrate their misery, you defile your own character and risk stepping directly under the weight of God’s discipline. Keep your heart clean so your harvest can stay covered.
3. Cultivate an Attitude of Gratitude
Be radically kind and open-handed to the less fortunate. True generosity is the ultimate expression of gratitude; it is the active recognition that everything you possess came directly from the hand of God. True wealth is not defined by what you are desperately hoarding in an earthly vault, but rather by what is safely stored for you in the reserves of heaven.
4. Manage the Master’s Business First
If you want your life and plans to be advanced by the hand of God, you must make His business your primary concern. As Matthew 6:33 (NLT) promises: “He will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.”* When you take care of God’s priorities, He legally obligates Himself to take care of your provision.
Today’s Declaration:
“I am resigning from the ‘System of Anxiety and Greed’ today! I refuse to fret over the temporary wealth of the exploiter. I trust that divine justice is shifting resources into the hands of the righteous. I am guarding my heart against malicious joy, opening my hands in radical kindness to the poor, and making the Kingdom of God my primary concern. I am positioned for the shift, and my season will not fail!”
The wicked are just holding the wealth until the righteous are ready to manage it. Today is a great day to make a Fresh Start!
God bless,
