The Snuffed Out Light

Proverbs 13:9 (NLT)
“The life of the godly is full of light and joy, but the sinner’s light is snuffed out.”

The Climate of the Light

You are commanded by God to Be The Light. Throughout the economy of Scripture, light does not represent a vague emotional feeling; it literally represents raw knowledge, strategic understanding, open opportunity, and sustainable life. The moment you make the flat-footed choice to live an uncompromised, godly life—choosing to aggressively obey God’s Word and completely surrender your personal will for His—you are automatically granted an inheritance of life, clear opportunity, high-level knowledge, and deep understanding. Keep pressing forward in your faith with high kinetic energy, because these benefits and blessings of life are an absolute covenant promise to you.
Conversely, the text exposes the devastating reality of the independent lifestyle: the sinner’s light, knowledge, health, and auxiliary help is completely snuffed out. This spiritual blackout is not a random accident; it is the direct payout of bad choices, toxic decisions, and a total lack of trust in God’s ableness. When you step outside of God’s boundaries, you voluntarily enter a blackout zone.

The Practice:

The Perimeter Security Check

1. Walk in the Light
Choose to walk flat-footed in total victory. This requires you to live a life that sits in permanent, uncompromised obedience and constant communion with God and His written Word. Stop treating your faith like a weekend hobby and make the Word the operational standard for your marketplace, your finances, and your household today.
2. Keep the Light On
You must recognize that you are only a prisoner of your current circumstances, your present crisis, or your traumatic past if you actively choose to be. Refuse to allow temporary conditions to define who you are, what you will do, or what you are capable of achieving. You are not your mistakes, and you are not your past mess-ups! To surrender to sin, to wallow in failure, and to operate in defensive denial of the truth is to manually cut your own light off. Where there is zero light, there is zero joy.
If you stumble, get the light back on immediately! Confess the unaligned thought, act, or deed. Repent of it flat-footed—which means to turn from it with speed of obedience. When your light is off, it is not just dark for you; it becomes dark for everyone positioned around you. Protect your connectivity.
3. Let Your Light Shine
You must permanently enforce the mandate of Matthew 5:16 (NIV): “In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Learn to brag on God with high volume. He has blessed your house, so you possess a legal obligation to tell the story! Be fully present in your assignment and live with aggressive daily purpose. Rejoice openly in the wondrous deeds of the Lord and acknowledge His sovereign control over all things by rendering Him high-reverence thanks. Be noisy about what God has done while you wait on what He is going to do!

Today’s Declaration:

“I am resigning from ‘Darkness and Denial’ today! I refuse to let my past mistakes, my present circumstances, or my temporary mess-ups turn off my light or steal my joy. I will walk in full obedience, keep my light turned on through repentance, and saturate my atmosphere with the Word. I will not be silent—I will be noisy about what God has already done while I wait on what He is going to do! I am moving on His directives today.”

Today is a great day to make a Fresh Start!
God bless,
