Proverbs 10:3 (NLT)
“The LORD will not let the godly starve to death, but he refuses to satisfy the craving of the wicked.”
The Divine Guarantee
Somebody ought to shout right here! Get this into your spirit: The Lord will not let the godly starve. It might be tight right now. Things may not be falling together the way you planned. You might be running on fumes, your knees might be worn from praying, and the finances you were counting on might not have come through—yet the Lord God says, “I will not let the faithful, the uncompromising, and the righteous starve to death.” David echoed this guarantee in Psalm 37:25: “I have been young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the godly forsaken, nor seen their children begging for bread.” God is not just a provider; He is a Protector of His own. While the wicked chase cravings that never satisfy, you are sustained by a Source that never runs dry.
The Practice
Standing on the Promise
1. Remind Yourself of His Faithfulness
God has said it, and now you have to stand on it. Faith is not a feeling; it is a choice to believe God at His Word even when the “numbers” don’t add up. If He promised to sustain you, then your current “lack” is only a temporary setup for a supernatural supply.
2. Recite Life into Your Space
There is power in your proclamation. Stop talking about the famine and start talking about the Father. Say it out loud in your room, in your car, or at your desk: “God will not let me starve. I will live, and I will not die!” Do it now. Your ears need to hear what your spirit already knows.
3. Reclaim Your Peace
God has assured you that He has you covered. Now, stop worrying about His business (which is you) and get back to your business (which is Him). Your peace has always been found in one place: staying stayed on Him (Isaiah 26:3). When you focus on His Glory, He focuses on your Grocery.
Today’s Declaration
“I am a child of the Covenant, and I refuse to fear the famine. I acknowledge that the Lord is my Shepherd and I shall not want. I trade my worry for His Word and my anxiety for His Assurance. I will not starve, I will not be forsaken, and I will not fail, because the Lord is my Sustainer.”
God’s check has never bounced, and His pantry has never been empty. Today is a great day to make a Fresh Start!
God bless,
