Proverbs 25:5 (NLT)
“Remove the wicked from the king’s court, and his reign will be made secure by justice.”
The Vulnerability of the Throne
Even a great king can be marred and his legacy ruined by the presence, advice, and involvement of wicked, unjust people. What makes us so vulnerable to this? It usually stems from a sense of insignificance and insecurity. When we don’t fully depend on the one true and living God, we start looking for “help.” We try to help God out by seeking counsel from social media, well-meaning but worldly friends, or even our own limited understanding.
This is all out of order! When you allow sin or wickedness to remain in your “court,” Justice is silenced. It is unable to secure or support you because Justice cannot stand where Sin is tolerated. God is holy, righteous, and true; He has never once tolerated a compromise. If you allow, ignore, or tolerate what God abhors, you are officially Out of Order. Whether it is a government, a business, a marriage, or a personal life, the permission of wickedness is a choice to be absent from God’s promised security.
The Practice:
Carrying Out the Eviction
1. Radical Action for Real Change
Justice will not secure you until you clear the room. The wicked must be removed—there are no two ways about it. The lying has to stop, the cheating must quit, the illicit behavior must cease, and the blatant disobedience must halt. Real change isn’t a suggestion; it is a radical, surgical removal of everything that offends the King of Kings.
2. No More Excuses
It is time for some “Kingdom Evictions.” Family members or not, if they are leading you away from the Word, they cannot have a seat at your table. If you truly desire God to elevate you and answer the prayers you’ve been demanding, you must cut loose the ungodly associations and the bad habits that have become comfortable. You cannot reach for your future while you are still holding onto the “wickedness” of your past.
3. Reclaim Your Reign
You have been given the power to change and to regain what was lost. When you trust and obey, you are pulled back into divine alignment. Your security is not found in your “connections” or your “cleverness,” but in your Wholehearted Dependence on God. Commit today to seeking His Kingdom first (Matthew 6:33), and watch Justice secure your reign.
Today’s Declaration:
“I am serving ‘Eviction Notices’ to every ungodly influence in my life today. I refuse to let insecurity drive me to wicked counsel. I am clearing my court of lies, lust, and disobedience so that the Justice of God can secure my future. I am done trying to ‘help’ God—I am choosing to trust Him, obey Him, and reign with Him!”
You can’t have a ‘Secure Reign’ if you have an ‘Unjust Court.’ Today is a great day to make a Fresh Start!
God bless,
