Proverbs 13:5 (NLT)
“Those who are godly hate lies; the wicked come to shame and disgrace.”
The Gravity of the Lie
As children of the Most High, we are called to hate what He hates. And make no mistake: God hates lies. Why? Because lies are the primary tools of destruction. They weaken the fabric of integrity until trust is completely lost. And when trust vanishes, injustice, shame, and disgrace rush in to fill the void.
A lie is never “small.” Lies lead to neglected children, banished dreams, and falsely imprisoned men. A lie told to “save face” can lead to a spiritual misdiagnosis that costs a person their destiny. The godly hate lies not because they are “perfect,” but because they understand that a lie is a direct attack on the Kingdom of God.
The Practice:
Uprooting the Falsehood
1. The Personal Inventory
Where are you living a lie? We often tell lies to ourselves before we ever speak them to others. Seek the Lord today to uncover any falsehoods you have told or allowed others to assume about you. Freedom is found in the “uncovering.” Tell the truth—even if your voice shakes—and be free from the bondage of the “fake.”
2. Warfare Against Systemic Lies
We must go to war against the lies embedded in our culture. For too long, falsehoods have been propagated about the Black family—lies told to our daughters, our sons, and even to ourselves. These fallacies have become part of a “social DNA” that leads to demise and shame. We must hate these lies and determine to uproot them. You are not who society says you are; you are who the Word says you are!
3. The Proclamation of Relationship
In the same vein, we must labor in the Word to know the Truth about Yahua Elohiym. We have had enough rituals and empty religion. It is time for a legitimate, biblical relationship with Yehusha HaMachiach (Jesus the Messiah). When you know the Truth of the Father, the lies of the world lose their power to define you.
Today’s Declaration:
“I am an ambassador of the Truth. I choose to hate what God hates and love what He loves. I am uprooting every personal and systemic lie that has tried to anchor itself in my life. I am done with the ‘ritual’ and I am diving into the ‘relationship.’ I am walking in the light, speaking the Truth, and building my life on the solid rock of Integrity!”
You can’t build a ‘True Life’ on a ‘False Foundation.’ Today is a great day to make a Fresh Start!
God bless,
