Where are you Centered

 Proverbs 10:6 (NLT)
“The godly are showered with blessings; evil people cover up their harmful intentions.”

The Gravity of the Center

The godly can live in high expectation, knowing that blessings will befall them. This isn’t luck; it is the result of a deliberate choice to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. When your practices align with His principles, you garner the favor of the Lord, and He most assuredly meets every need.
In sharp contrast, the wicked operate in the shadows. They spend their energy hiding or covering up their deeds. Their motives are unholy; they may desire the right things, but they want them for the wrong reasons. Because they operate from a negative mindset, they are willing to entertain harmful and harsh actions. Proverbs even suggests their intentions are “violent”—meaning there is no limit to what they will do to seize what they think they deserve. The difference is simple: When God is at the center, your actions are holy. When anything else is at the center, every action—no matter how “innocent” it looks—is out of alignment.

The Practice:

Establishing the Core

1. Discipline Your Discernment
Do not be gullible. Every smile is not a sign of friendship, and every “open door” isn’t an invitation from God. Some people are simply masters at covering up harmful intentions. Through consistent prayer, deep Bible study, and wise counsel, God will peel back the layers and reveal the ill intents of those around you. You don’t have to be suspicious when you are discerning.
2. Remain Christ-Centered
Make Christ your absolute priority every day in everything you do. This isn’t a Sunday-only ritual; it is a daily relationship. Matthew 6:33 says to seek first the kingdom of heaven…
Start your day in His presence to set your trajectory, and end your day in prayer to anchor your peace. If He is the center, your life will be stable. If He is on the “to-do list,” your life will be chaotic.
3. Arm Yourself for the Assignment
In Scripture, God’s people were never just worshippers; they were warriors in every sense of the word. You must arm yourself on four fronts:
Spiritually & Mentally: Saturate your mind with the Word. Jesus compared studying Scripture to eating and drinking—it is your vital sustenance.
Physically: Commit to healthy living. God needs leaders who are fit for the fight, not liabilities who are slowed down by neglect.
Financially: Learn the laws of giving, investing, and compounding. God wants His stewards to have resources, not just requests.

Today’s Declaration:

“I am resigning from the ‘Spirit of the Gullible’ today! I refuse to be distracted by the smiles of those with hidden agendas. I am making Christ the center, and I am arming myself spiritually, physically, and financially for the mission ahead. I am a worshipper and a warrior, and I am standing ready for the shower of blessings!”

Blessings follow the Christ centered; violence follows the selfish. Today is a great day to make a Fresh Start!
God bless,
